Michael Jackson to get his own Cirque du Soleil to show!
According to Reuters, Cirque du Soleil is creating a series of projects honoring Michael Jackson, including an arena touring show starting in 2011 and a Las Vegas nightclub. Proceeds will be split by Jackson’s estate and the Cirque crew — the late King of Pop was apparently a big fan — and according to a statement from Katherine Jackson, the family is “thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”
This isn’t the first time Cirque du Soleil has taken on a pop icon: Both Love (Beatles) and Viva Elvis (uh, Elvis) are up and running in Vegas, and Ka was once featured in a particularly horrifying episode of CSI. All things considered — like Neverland Ranches, affections for monkeys, and the millions of Jackson fans who took to the worldwide streets after his death — a Jacko Jackson [sorry, irate fans; you're right, my bad] Cirque seems like a no-brainer.

I have managed to get hold of some very rare footage of Michael Jackson and his brothers Tito, Marlon, Randy and Jackie being interviewed and interviewing themselves in the 1970′s the day after they met Muhammed Ali.
I love the part where Michael is interviewing the little boy and he is really shy, it is so adorable.

Michael Jackson’s three children went through some difficult days after their father’s sudden death 10 months ago, the singer’s eldest sister said Thursday, but now, surrounded by nurturing family members, they are recovering well.
Rebbie Jackson also said there may be some prosecution surprises in store when Dr. Conrad Murray goes on trial for his role in her brother’s death. “There’s an ongoing investigation, so I have to be very careful about what I say. But I think there’s going to be some interesting results for everyone,” she told TODAY’s Matt Lauer in New York.

Michael Jackson to get the Cirque du Soleil treatment
Acrobatic troupe Cirque du Soleil will collaborate with Jackson family on production celebrating Michael Jackson’s music.
Michael Jackson is to be immortalised in the unlikely form of a new production from Cirque du Soleil.
Following the Is This It movie and the reported biggest record deal of all time with Sony Music, the new show is the latest bit of Jackson-related activity to be sanctioned by the Jackson family.
The acrobatic troupe will launch a touring show based on songs from the Jackson catalogue, followed by a permanent production in Las Vegas from 2012. The news is perhaps not surprising – previous Cirque du Soleil productions have centred around the Beatles and Elvis Presley.
The late singer’s mother Katherine said in a statement: “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”
The Jackson family will share a 50/50 split with Cirque of both production costs and eventual profits.
John Branca, co-executor of the estate, added: “Having attended Cirque du Soleil performances with Michael, I know he was a huge fan. We are excited to be partners with Cirque du Soleil to give Michael’s fans a truly unique way to hear, see and feel Michael’s music.” Source
